An event can be a book-signing at a gift shop or bookstore or a free performance if the facility is set up for having an audience.

Schools

An event can be a classroom discussion at your school about writing or several free half-hour performances where the author includes an introduction with props from the farm, a prologue, and a reading of the book as the illustrated pages are projected onto a 47" TV screen. During the performance the author wears the traditional costume of a farmer in 1950 as he recites one of his books and tells other stories.
