School Event

Author Gordon Fredrickson will come to your classroom

An event can be a classroom discussion at your school about writing or several free half-hour performances where the author includes an introduction with props from the farm, a prologue, and a reading of the book as the illustrated pages are projected onto a large screen.

Gordon wears the traditional costume of a farmer in 1950 as he recites one of his books and tells other stories.

Question and answer sessions are as long as the school schedule permits.

There is no charge or obligation for classroom visits or performances. I ask but do not require that I be allowed to offer my books for sale to students at a discounted price. Click HERE to download printable purchase form that shows book pricing information.

Performance space: For schools, the presentation works best in a classroom with 100 or fewer students attending, but I am willing to do the performance several times at a school. Performances and discussions can be done in auditoriums if the facility has a large screen with a DVD projector that has a remote control.

Limitations: If a school is less than 50 miles from Lakeville, MN, I charge nothing for appearing at an event. If distance requires travel of more than 50 miles or an overnight stay, I would appreciate something to offset costs. Give me a call and let's discuss it. (Sequence and length may vary due to time)
